Iris Hantverk stands for genuine Swedish handicraft. Here you will find their exclusive brushes in natural materials, characterised by beautiful Scandinavian design – both beauty and function that bring joy to everyday life.
The brushes have been made according to old Swedish tradition since the end of the 19th century by visually impaired and blind craftspeople, who bind the brushes with a delicate touch. Iris Hantverk works closely with the association De Blindas Väl, and social commitment and support for the visually impaired community have permeated the company since the start.
The brushes from Iris Hantverk are made of living natural materials such as oak and birch, which gives a rustic and beautiful feel. The material in the brush itself differs depending on what it is to be used for – for example, Iris Hantverk uses goat hair for its facial brushes and boar bristle for the hairbrushes, which makes them soft and pleasant brushes.
Iris Hantverk's vision is to offer products with a clear connection to old craft traditions, in sustainable and good quality that brings everyday joy for a long time. The foundation is the brush workshop in Enskede, Sweden, where five people from all over the world bind brushes using traditional techniques today.
Knitted towels and washcloths in organic cotton. The cotton has a lovely softness and suppleness, while the knit gives a pleasant exfoliating feel.
