Here you will find information about who we are and why we started 37 years ago.

We are a small family-owned soap factory that had a vision that everything we use should be part of mother earth and not overload her but work together in symbiosis. That the products we used to clean our bodies would be made from herbs and vegetable oils and fats, gifts from mother earth. When we started 37 years ago, there was nothing to buy or get hold of, so we decided to try to manufacture what we needed ourselves. First the idea was to make only our family, mother, father, 10 children, 3 dogs and a few cats.

We started with one soap and one shampoo and one ointment. It developed into a company where we started manufacturing on an increasingly large scale, it was in connection with the green wave in the 90s. And on that path, we have continued, to the company we have today, with the same philosophy and several different products all based on Nordic herbs and vegetable oils and fats.

We who run the company today are Bjarka soap makers with 37 years of experience, herbalists and South Sami with roots from the Västerbotten Forest Sami. Christer, utility- man takes care of all the practical things and helps where needed, you often meet him at a market. Salomon soap maker with 4 years of experience is the one who manufactures all soaps and shampoos, Patrick Bergfeldt who manages social media and marketing.

We make all our products by hand, the only machine we have is a blender, making handmade soaps and natural skin care products that work today is a craft that requires knowledge and years of experience.

From the time we have picked the herbs to finished soap, it takes a year.  We put dried herbs in oils where they are allowed to sit for at least 4 months before we can use it in manufacturing. After the soap is made, it has a pH of 11, it then needs to dry for a long time, often between 5-6 months in the right humidity and temperature, to get down to pH 7 (neutral).

Only then can we pack and sell the soap or shampoo. This means that the soap/shampoo you buy is dried weight, about 10% of the weight is lost during the drying time. A manufacturing process that characterizes real craftsmanship based on knowledge and experience.

 Becoming a good and knowledgeable soap maker means years of training, lots of mistakes and experience. We have created all the products we manufacture and sell ourselves from scratch.

 When we create a recipe, we start from the function we want the product to have, then follow months of study and research on which herbs and oils, fats add the properties we want the final product to have. When it's ready, a test group gets to try the products for a few months so they work as we want and it's supposed to. If the product is approved by the group, we register it in the CNCP register and receive an invoice from the Medical Products
